20 Weeks and the Big Reveal

I am half way through my pregnancy. That would be something except that there's still five months to go. I had my doctor's appointment this morning and got weighed. I gained 9 pounds last month. I had gained 12 pounds the month before. My doctor lovingly did the math and said, "You've gained 21 pounds in the last two months." He showed me my chart which detailed his mathematics. "You have to watch your weight," he said.

"Sure," I said, "we'll watch it go up."

"Did you do that on purpose?" he asked.

"No," I said. "Ask me that again when I fart in your face during my well-woman exam."


We've been taking week by week pictures so we can flip through them at the end of the pregnancy and see a quick animation for the whole 2nd and 3rd trimester (Mama could not get motivated for photographs during the 1st trimester). Here they are. You can see my belly really starting to pooch, which I love. :)

We had our ultrasound last week (which, can I say how much clearer everything is now compared to when I was pregnant with my daughter almost 10 years ago? It's so much different!) and we found out gender!

Off to go gain 9 more pounds!
